Ultra concentrated calcium and carbonate hardness foradvanced reef aquarists

With Tropic Marin® Carbo-Calcium, the totalcalcium and carbonate hardness needs of a typical reef aquarium can becovered with a single solution, without any additional unwanted compounds orexcess carbon dioxide being created.

Minerals are consumedthrough the growth of organisms and other processes in the aquarium and musttherefore be supplemented regularly. These include mainly calcium and carbonatehardness elements for the growth of the calcareous skeletons of stony corals,red coralline algae and other reef organisms. The special co-ordinatedcomponents in Tropic Marin® Carbo-Calcium provideexcellent care conditions in only a single solution.

Tropic Marin® Carbo-Calcium preventsall the side effects of other methods of calcium hardness: the pH remainsstable; there is no excess CO2 and there is no risk of unwantedphosphates being introduced through coral breakage. In addition, there isneither a creeping increase in salinity, nor increased oxygen consumptionthrough carbon compounds.

How to use:

Start with a daily dose of5 ml of Tropic Marin® Carbo-Calcium per 100 litres(26 US-gal) of aquarium system volume. Increase the daily dosage – bycontinuous control of the alkalinity – weekly by 2.5 ml per 100 litres (26US-gal) of aquarium system volume, until a constant carbonate hardness of 7 to9 °dH is reached. At the same time, check the calcium concentration in theaquarium – it should be between 400-440 mg/l.

Do not exceed a maximum daily dose of 25 ml of TropicMarin® Carbo-Calcium per 100 litres (26 US-gal) ofaquarium system volume.

1000 ml Tropic Marin® Carbo-Calcium contain40,000 mg calcium and 5,600 °carbonate hardness.

Use the new dosingcalculator for an easy determination of the required amount ofdosage for your aquarium. To refill this solution we recommend the newproduct Tropic Marin® Carbo-Calcium Powder which has to bedissolved in reverse osmosis water.

DESCRIPTION

Highly concentrated calcium and alkalinity powder

Tropic Marin® Carbo calcium Powder is highly concentrated calcium and alkalinity for dissolving in reverse osmosis water to get the proven Carbo-Calcium solution. After dissolving, one single solution can cover all the calcium and carbonate hardness requirements of a typical reef aquarium without undesirable additional compounds or excess carbon dioxide being produced. This ensures strong growth of corals, coralline algae and other reef organisms. 100 g (3.5 oz.) of Carbo calcium Powder containing more than 30,000 mg of calcium and more than 4,000°dKH.

This high-yield product is suitable for all tank sizes and prevents the side effects of other methods of calcium hardness: the pH remains stable; there is no excess CO2 and there is no risk of unwanted phosphates being introduced through coral breakage. In addition, there is neither a creeping increase in salinity, nor increased oxygen consumption through carbon compounds. After mixing, the resulting solution is suitable for both manual dosage and for dosing pumps.

Howto use:

The 700 g (1.5 lbs.) can of Carbo calcium Powder is sufficient for 5 l/1.3 US-gal. liquid solution, the 1400 g(3 lbs.) can for 10 l/2.6 US-gal. liquid solution.

6 level measuring spoons (approx. 140g/5 oz.) of Carbo calcium Powder are dissolved in 1 l/0.26US-gal. reverse osmosis water to create the liquid mineral solution. This solution has a long shelf-life and contains 43,000 mg of calcium and 6,000 °dH.

You can now start with daily doses of 5ml of the mineral solution for every 100 l/26 US-gal. aquarium system volume.Monitor the alkalinity level as you increase the daily dosage by 2.5 ml for every 100 l/26 US-gal. aquarium system volume every week until you reach a constant alkalinity level of 7 to 9 °dKH.

Maximum dose: 25 ml per 100 l/26 US-gal. aquarium system volume daily.
