Ultra-Phos is an aluminium-based adsorber granules that safely removes phosphates, humic acids and organic pollutants. These pollutants are firmly bound to the surface of the ultra phos and not released again. With ultra phos, the nutrient content of the aquarium can be kept very low. Undesirable algae growth is effectively prevented and corals can develop their natural colours. Use and dosage: please always make changes to the aquarium carefully. Use 50g per 200 litres of water at the beginning. After 14 days, you can increase the amount to 100 g per 200 litres of water. Check the PO4 content regularly, e.g. with our FaunaMarin PO4 test. When the PO4 content rises again, replace Ultra-Phos for fresh material. Do not use more than 100 g per 200 litres of water. We recommend placing the material in a well-drained filter chamber, where it unfolds its best effect. At extremely low PO4 and undetectable NO3 values, no ultra phos should be used. Ultra-Phos is very strong and is used in nutrient-rich basins. Since Ultra-Phos removes unwanted organic compounds and dyes, it may take some time to achieve a measurable PO4 reduction at a high percentage of these substances. This is normal and you will notice this by the yellowing of the material and the much clearer water. When using in vertebral bed filters, make sure that the performance of the material is significantly increased. In this case, reduce the amount by 50% and pay attention to the flow-flow in the filter. The material can heat up in water, does not need to be washed out. Keep product away from children. Do not use for animals that are used to extract food. Do not inhale, do not swallow. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
