Maintaining KH level (alkalinity) in a tank can be challenging. The conventional method of alkalinity measurement is to mix an acid such as HCL with a sample solution of tank water. And record the change of PH values before and after the mixing. The alkalinity of the water sample is then obtained as a function of PH value changed, and the amount of acid added. It’s a complex and time consuming process that you may have to perform over and over.

This revolutionary invention, AquaWiz KH controller™, automatically measures and optionally maintains the KH level in your tank. No test solution needed. All you need to prepare is a “reference solution” that can best sustain life in your tank. It can be your existing tank of seawater with stable alkalinity. The reference solution is recycled and reused during the whole measurement process. No wastewater is dumped, and no acid solution is produced. It’s an environmentally friendly solution that can do both KH measurement and KH control.
