Ultra-Carb L is an activated carbon specifically made for permanent and long-term use.
It is an extremely pure, vapor-activated, pre-washed activated carbon used for efficient removal of yellowness, turbidity and harmful toxins. Carbon is an essential component for maintaining good water quality in any aquarium. Ultra Carb L is almost entirely free of phosphate and has an extremely high capacity. Ultracarb is specifically made for permanent and long-term use but should be exchanged every 30 days. Suitable for freshwater and marine aquaria, Ultra Carb L cleans the water without any negative side effects.
Continuous aquarium water treatment using Carb L (super pure pelleted activated carbon) plays a fundamental role in the Zeo-Light-System. Carb L is essential to the keeping of sensitive SPS and LPS corals and therefore is applied permanently. The activated carbon treatment provides crystal clear water – phenoles, proteins, coloring substances, odor, and coral and algae toxins are removed effectively.
DOSAGE RECOMMENDATION
- 500 g per 1000 L (260 US gal) if used in a media reactor
- 1000 g per 1000 L (260 US gal) if used in a filter bag
PREPARATION
Prepare new activated carbon by following procedure below:
One day prior to the carbon replacement, pour hot water (tap water) over the carbon and subsequently give the carbon a 24 hour bath.
CHANGE INTERVAL
Replace the activated carbon after 4 weeks, but not on the same day as a Zeolite media change-out.
